The next SMES Volunteer Training will be Thursday, Oct. 23, at 7:30 AM. You must have your background check completed and cleared before attending the training. This can be done for free at the St. Marys Police Department. The turnaround time can take up to 2 weeks. Please email Mrs. Norton at snorton@camden.k12.ga.us with any questions. Thank you!

SMES 3-5 BINGO today! Parents, please refrain from walking up to the building. Students will be dismissed by the transportation marked on the permission form. Transportation arrangements may not be changed from those noted on the permission form. Daycare will be dismissed from the back door closest to the gym. Thank you!

Let’s join in the CCHS Homecoming fun on Friday, Sept. 19th, by wearing your Wildcat spirit wear and colors. Students may also wear a hat for $1.00.

SMES invites you to celebrate International Dot Day on Monday, Sept. 15th! Wear your dots—shirts, socks, or even pants! Inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds, this global event encourages everyone to “make their mark” through art and creativity.

Tomorrow, September 11th, in honor of Patriot’s Day, we are inviting our students to join us in wearing red, white, and blue in remembrance of this day.

GM SMES! Our Family Bookfair tonight is from 4:00 to 6:00. The Grandparents Luncheon/Shop the Book Fair is scheduled for tomorrow. Your child's teacher will have our adjusted lunch schedule. Please make sure you wear your bracelet if you pre-purchased a lunch. Our bookfair accepts all forms of payment.

Good Afternoon, SMES families, we have had a great start to the school year! Here are a few important reminders to help our school days run smoothly:

Changes in Transportation: All transportation changes must be communicated directly to the front office by 2:00 PM each day. While it's also helpful to inform your child's teacher, the front office must receive the official notice, preferably via a phone call.

Early Check-Outs: For the safety and security of our students, all early check-outs must be completed by 2:30 PM.

Afternoon Pick-up Line: Beginning Tuesday, September 2nd, every car in the afternoon pick-up line must display a number or ridership pass. If you do not have one, you will be asked to go to the front office to pick up your student and a car tag or ridership pass.
