Attention Camden Families:
There is an increased presence of law enforcement at our schools as a precautionary measure. If you notice more officers on campus, please know that this does not necessarily indicate a problem.
Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and staff. Rest assured, we will always communicate promptly if there is ever a threat to our school community. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

๐โจ Problem Solving in Camden County Schools: A Step-by-Step Guide! ๐
At Camden County Schools, we believe in addressing issues promptly and effectively. Here's the process to ensure your concerns are heard and resolved:
๐น Step 1: Teacher/Staff Member Closest to the Situation
Start by discussing the issue with the teacher or staff member who is directly involved. They are often the best equipped to provide immediate solutions or clarifications.
๐น Step 2: School Administrator/Division Supervisor
If the problem isn't resolved, the next step is to contact the school administrator or division supervisor. They can offer additional support and resources to help address the concern.
๐น Step 3: Central Office Administrator
Should the issue persist, reach out to a central office administrator. They have a broader perspective and can coordinate with various departments to find a resolution.
๐น Step 4: Superintendent
For more complex issues, the Superintendent is available to provide higher-level intervention and ensure that all policies and procedures are being followed.
๐น Step 5: Board of Education
As a last resort, you can bring the concern to the Board of Education. They oversee the entire school district and can make decisions on policy changes or other significant actions.
We are committed to creating a positive and supportive environment for our students, staff, and community. Your voice matters, and we're here to help every step of the way! ๐ฌ๐ค

๐๐ข๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ ๐๐ง๐จ๐ฐ: School buses are the most regulated vehicles on the road. Theyโre designed to be safer than passenger vehicles in preventing crashes and injuries, and in every state, stop-arm laws exist to protect children from other motorists.
If you are driving, remember these simple rules:
โ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ ๐จ๐ง ๐ ๐ฌ๐๐ก๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ ๐๐จ๐ฐ๐ง โ donโt speed up โ because the bus is preparing to stop. There are - likely students waiting to get on the bus or parents waiting nearby to pick up children.
โ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ง ๐ฌ๐ญ๐จ๐ฉ โ and wait at least 20 feet behind the bus โ because children are getting on or off the school bus. Stay stopped until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, and the bus begins moving.
โ ๐๐ฏ๐๐ง ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ง ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ฌ ๐๐ซ๐๐งโ๐ญ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ก๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐ฐ๐๐ญ๐๐ก ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐๐ง, particularly in the morning or mid-afternoon, around school arrival and dismissal times. Be alert as you back out of a driveway, or drive through a neighborhood, school zone or bus stop.
Your child should arrive at the bus stop at least 10 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. Teach them to play it SAFE:
โ ๐tay five steps away from the curb.
โ ๐lways wait until the bus comes to a complete stop and the bus driver signals for you to board.
โ ๐
ace forward after finding a seat on the bus.
โ ๐xit the bus after it stops and look left-right-left for cars before crossing a street.
